INTO THE WOODS

A magical, mystical experience…

What is it?

The Into the Woods Experience is an opportunity to embrace the liminal… to step over the threshold, away from the norms of life, and take a moment to pause - to purposefully look inward alongside other empowered women who are doing the same.

Who is it for?

  • This is for you if you gravitate toward the magical and mystical.

  • This is for you if life has you worn out and needing to reassess what life is throwing at you.

  • This is for you if you are a woman with zero fucks left to give.

  • This is for you if you seek out chances to gather with other women.

  • This is for you if you love leaning into the sacred cycles of nature.

  • This is for you if you just love Carrie and want to hang out.

What will it include?

The Saturday morning 9a-1p ITW experience is different every season because the setting, surrounded by nature and literally going into the woods, will be different every season. Each session, though, no matter how different will feature “stitching in” to the sacred circle of women, somatic body movements, a unique guided journaling opportunity where only the juicy bits come forth, oracle card readings, learning about liminality and how it affects our lives, and everyone’s favorite highlight: A guided forest therapy session with sensory stops!

What is so special about the Solstice & Equinox experiences?!

The Summer Solstice in June and the Autumn Equinox in September are special, sacred days and I am collaborating with others on offering a sound bath experience, kundalini yoga, and/or goddess photographs… stay tuned for specifics, but know it will be EPIC! NOTE: The Summer Solstice is the one evening event running from 5p-9p!

Frequently Asked Questions…

What kind of shoes should I wear?
We all want to be prepared with the right shoes, don’t we? I’m personally a “bring a spare pair” kind of person. You’ll definitely want to dress according to the Pacific Northwest weather, but a sturdy pair of tennis shoes or hiking boots is a good idea for the Forest Therapy session.

What kind of clothes should I wear?
The weather in the Pacific Northwest can vary greatly over the course of a day, so I always say - layer, layer, layer. We will have several fire places going during the sitting portion of the experience, as well as a heap of lap blankets and hot drinks available, but if you know you run cold, you might want to register for a summer session or be sure to bundle up.

What if the weather is bad?
For the most part, this will be a rain-or-shine experience. Of course, we will not gather if it would be dangerous to do so, and you may receive a credit towards a different date.

What if I can’t make it on the day I registered for?
If you aren’t able to make it the day of the event you registered for, I am happy to do a one-time rescheduling credit towards a different date, but refunds will not be issued.

What is the terrain of the forest we will enter and how far will we hike?
The walk into the woods is only a half mile up and the same half mile back. There is a moderate incline for about fifty-feet at the outset, but it is relatively flat beyond that. There are loose rocks, creeks, berms, and roots to manage, though, so if you have issues with weak ankles or knees, you may opt to stay in the pavilion with an alternate activity.

Where is this located?
Our property and event pavilion, Winterberry Woods, is located in Seabeck, WA. in the forested hills up above the marina. Specific address and directions will be emailed to you upon registration along with further instructions and information for the day.

What should I bring?
In addition to the appropriate shoes & attire, please bring anything that will help you sink into a safe space of authenticity. I will provide journals, pens, water, an assortment of snacks and hot beverages, essential oils, lap blankets and pillows among other things.
