LIMINAL LIFE: Navigating Transitions with Authenticity

Limin: /n/ threshold

Liminal: /adj/ The feeling of betweenness in a transitional time

Liminality: /abstract n/ state of discomfort or unease caused by ambiguity.

Liminal spaces are those uncomfortable, in-between places we all experience. They can be places like a doctor’s office waiting room, hallways, or elevators – and even experienced in seasonal shifts and phases of the moon. Most importantly, though, seasons and times of life that lead us through transition… when the diagnosis comes in, when you leave a home or community, when you start something new – times when the touchstone has been removed and you have crossed from the known to the unknown.

The fact is, most of us are juggling multiple transitions or changes at any one time! Emotional, physical, spiritual, psychological… It can be unsettling, disorienting, and triggering. Liminality can make you feel like you’re a bit crazy.

You’re not crazy. And, you’re not alone, friend!

In this compassionate, encouraging quick-read, CA Jalonen holds her reader’s hand along a journey of self-discovery and transformation to not only help them see the liminal life they lead, but how they are responding to it, and what they can do to lead a more flexible, self-compassionate, and connected life of authenticity.

This book is for anyone who feels like they have tried all the things, are at the end of their rope, and stuck!

“If you feel confused by your responses and reactions to life on a regular basis, or even if you think everything is “fine” (our new 4-letter F-word!), but deep down you know something is just not quite right, I want to tell you there is a better way to live. And I can’t wait to show you how!” ~ CA Jalonen

After years of researching liminality and applying the concepts in this book to her own profound life changing transformation of self-discovery, CA Jalonen is quickly becoming the leader in viewing personal growth through the lens of liminality.

“[Liminal Life is] …a delightful invitation to the reader to go with [Carrie] into her own experience and to also pique interest in crossing into their own liminal space.”

What people are saying about liminal Life:

“The use of senses as a way of framing self-care was very creative, and I liked the strategy of giving ourselves 'time to think' as a scheduled appointment, so that we can brainstorm and then put it away when it's no longer time. I do this with clients too, and it's great!”

~ Anna Stookey, Mindbody Specialist & Psychotherapist (MA, MFT,Cht)

FIND YOURSELF AGAIN:

“Carrie hits all my sweet spots with Liminal Life. It is theological, spiritual and practical. Lyrical and funny. If you are weary about another dry and self-centered book on personal transformation, then this is for you. Carrie totally gets what life change is all about and how to find the you in the middle. If you want to be heard and not preached at, this is the book for you.” ~ Darlene Turriff, Co-founder authors collaborative, book coach and editor

“She has written the feelings I’ve held throughout very messy and difficult years. I could pick apart paragraph by paragraph with parallel stories of awakening. How silly I was to not acknowledge the Both/and mindset. What a beautiful book.”

~ Vera Ball, Writer
