“Stepping over the threshold from the known to the unknown.”
Liminality is the concept of a betweenness, when we step over a threshold from the known to the unknown. I believe liminality describes the entirety of the time we are traversing the transitional unknown. In life that can look like many things: seasons of grief or growth, times of illness, new home or job, stages of parenting or partnership. Transitions!
These times tend to leave us feeling alone and untethered, needing help recognizing the normalcy around us. We can feel dysregulated and unsafe - experiencing behaviors and responses we don’t understand or know how to deal with. We can feel fear caused by the rigid thinking that we must “get it right.”
I have tools for you to see the normalcy, learn about your specific responses and how to choose differently. Ways to connect with community to banish the isolation of shame, avenues of self-compassion and techniques that will help you have a more flexible, “both, and” mindset.
My book, Liminal Life, was released on Amazon May 1st, 2024 - a Companion Journal, Through the Portal shortly followed. A Companion Guide Series, Into the Woods, is set for publication by the Fall of 2024, along with small group experiences live and online.
